Rain Over The Rappahannock

A little painting completed during the Tidelands Plein Air Festival. I stopped on my way home from a day of painting and perched in the back hatch of my car, holding the panel in my hand and did this very fast little painting looking northward over the Rappahannock River as a storm set up and rolled in. I've framed it in a little antique silver/grey frame but it would look equally good in a larger plein air frame.
