Bridging the Ditch

Started en plein air and finished in the studio. The title came to me while the folks in Congress are skirmishing over the government shutdown. A little flimsy bridge may or may not be found, but the ditch offers nothing but swampy water. Ironically, the photo of this painting taken for upload to this website is IMG_1776. Seems fitting. 

Note that the paint is still wet and a bit shiny here and there. When this settles down, I will retake the photo. Remind me if I haven't done it and you are considering a purchase.
